Turbo Repair & Rebuild
Most turbos that get replaced didn't need replacing. Shaft play, seal leaks, and damaged wheels are frequently repairable at a fraction of the cost of a new unit — and the failure usually tells us something about the car that's worth knowing before it happens again.

Turbo Repair & Rebuild
Questions we get asked
The things people want to know before booking turbo repair & rebuild.
Is repairing cheaper than replacing?
Usually, and often by a lot. Where it isn't — a badly ingested compressor wheel, or a shaft that's been running dry — we'll tell you and price a replacement instead. We won't rebuild something that shouldn't be rebuilt.
Why did it fail in the first place?
Nine times out of ten it's oil: supply, pressure, contamination, or a restrictor that was never fitted. Replacing the turbo without finding that out is how people buy two turbos. The strip-down report tells you which it was.
Often booked together
These come up in the same conversation often enough that it's worth pricing them together.
